The Romanian poker community will have a fantastic 2017. PokerFest and Unibet have joined forces to bring lots of poker action offline and online. The first event will be Unibet Romanian Poker Series, that will take place in several locations over the months of January and February. URPS has a guaranteed €100.000 prizepool, for a mere €150 buy-in.

Unibet Romanian Poker Series has multiple starting days in multiple poker clubs across the participating countries. All those who finish a starting day with chips in front of them are automatically in the money and will continue the event in Bucharest, where a champion will be crowned. URPS has a starting day in Sofia (Bulgaria) in January 24^th, with two mega satellites in January 19^th and 23^rd.

URPS Finals

Once the starting days are over, URPS continues in Bucharest, in All-In Poker Club, from Feb 3rd to Feb. 5th, until a champion is crowned. The blinds will be reset to a previous level (so the event becomes a deepstack even for those that qualified in the finals with shorter stacks.

Besides the Main Event, there will be side-events and cashgames, according to the official tournament schedule posted below.

Unibet Poker hosts Online Megasatellites

Satellites for URPS are already taking place on the Unibet Poker website and the calendar is filled with two megasatellites that have a total of 40 tickets guaranteed (Jan 13th and Jan 29th).

Can I play in multiple starting days?

Yes. The URPS Main Event has re-entry options available and you can use them in the same day or in different starting days.

What happens if I finish in the money more than once?

In case of multiple qualifications for the second phase (February, Bucharest), a player will continue the event with the largest stack. The other stack is withdrawn and the player receives a cash bonus. For a double qualification, a player wins a minimum of €800, and a triple qualification is at least €1500. Qualifications must be obtained in different cities (for example: Sofia & Bucharest).

How can I register?

Just go to the desired poker club, in the desired starting day, pay the buy-in and play the tournament. Don’t forget: you must always have a valid ID upon you while in the poker event.
