The 17th edition of the popular poker show broadcast live on B1 TV ended with the dramatic victory of Claudiu Pană, 39, an “old guard” player, now a professional heads-up online.

The game in two was dramatic especially for his opponent, Cătălin Paparușca from Cluj, the second consecutive finalist of the show, the one who last week had left on the 3rd place, had remained in the capital after qualifying again online, because now, after he entered the headsup game “in photography” (351,000 versus 349,000 chips), to lose the grand prize in a few bad hands, but also skillfully played by his more experienced opponent.

The special guest, Claudia Pavel aka Cream left the first game and went to the comment box to tell her American story that she lived for 8 years before returning to Romania. Among other things, she remembered that at her home in Las Vegas she had a neighbor, Phil Ivey, “who kind of likes strip clubs,” as the artist recalled.

The big news came tonight when Sorin Constantinescu, the show’s organizer, announced that “Road to Vegas” continues this summer, until September 3, for a total of 24 episodes.

So there are eight more online odds of qualifying on 888poker for just $ 10 on the guaranteed prize pool, with the one for next Thursday’s 18th edition taking place tonight at 10pm, as usual!

Congratulations to Claudiu Pană, and to the others (especially to Cătălin Paparușca), good luck on tonight’s satellite!
